Williamson is out of the field again due to injury

 

New Zealand captain Kane Williamson is regarded as one of the best cricketers in the world. However, for the last two years, injuries are not leaving behind him. He returned to the field with a series against Pakistan after recovering from injury. But he was knocked down again due to injury. He suffered a hamstring injury while batting during the second T20 against Pakistan.

Kane Williamson, who came down to bat first during the second T20, scored 26 runs off 15 balls for New Zealand. Then he left the field with an injury in the tenth over. He could not enter the field. Confirming his injury, the Black Caps board said, the team management did not want to take the risk and the Kiwis did not field him.

The New Zealand Herald quoted New Zealand coach Gary Steed as saying that Williamson will not be seen in the remaining matches of the series against Pakistan. The last three matches of the five-match series will be played on January 17, 19 and 21 respectively. After the series against Pakistan, the New Zealand-South Africa two-match Test series will begin on February 4. The Kiwi coach aims to get Williamson in that Test.

Basically, the New Zealand coach thought of not playing Williamson without taking extra risk before the Test, "It is not too late for the Test match. That is our highest priority. We will try to get him properly in the test.

Will Young has already joined the team as Williamson's replacement.
