FIFA 'The Best': Messi Men's Player of the Year

Manchester City's treble-winning striker Arling Holland was the frontrunner to win the award, according to analysts. But Messi won the boy's 'The Best' award through voting. The Argentine star was unable to attend the ceremony and could not receive the award in person. Another contender on the shortlist is France and PSG star Kylian Mbappe.

Performance during the period from December 19, 2022 to August 20, 2023 has been taken into consideration for the award. The boys were voted 'The Best' by national team coaches, captains, journalists and fans worldwide.
